PLATYPUS

PLAsticiTY of Perceptual space Under Sensorimotor interactions.

This project is funded under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Research and Innovation Staff Exchange action.

  • We are working together to understand how we perceive the spatial relationship between ourselves and the objects in the world around us.

  • The ultimate outcome of our research will be increased understanding of the continuously updating neural construction of space and the production of assistive technologies for people needing corrective lenses, with ocular or visual discontinuity and for the growing virtual reality industry.

Perceptual and Cognitive Optimisation in Extended Reality

This project is funded by the Australian Department of Defence

  • We are working on titrating information delivery via augmented reality to the needs of the user, based on measurement of cognitive load and stress

  • The outcome of our research will be an understanding of the effect of cognitive load and stress on utilisation of information delivered via augmented reality and proposed means of optimising information delivery on the fly.

Our MR-based Eye Tracking (MREyeTrack) method allows measurement of eye movements in terms of both translation and rotation and enables new opportunities for studying ocular motility and its disorders.
